auditions
Get excited to sing!
We are currently accepting auditions on a rolling basis for all voice parts, but
are especially seeking tenors + vocal percussionists to round out our group.
We would love to hear from you!
To audition, please fill out the form linked below. This helps us get a sense of your musical background. At the bottom of the form, you will attach two videos that will serve as your initial audition.
For those invited to callbacks, they will take place in-person during one of our rehearsals, usually at the beginning of our following season (January or July). We will provide excerpts of music to learn in advance and let you know any other details you'll need to prepare.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us at auditions@overtonesla.com.

Nope! Singers of all levels and backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Some musical knowledge is helpful, such as being able to read sheet music, but we provide Noteflight tracks of all songs to help members learn their music in whatever way works best for them.

We meet every Thursday from 7:15pm-9:30pm in the San Fernando Valley.

Fun AF! :) We’re a social group and we all look forward to our Thursday get-togethers. That said, we’re all here to sing and we aim to have productive rehearsals. We are often learning new music at a moderate to fast pace. Rehearsals are structured to allow for warm-ups, learning new music, reviewing older music, and include a break.

We understand that everyone is busy and things come up, but we ask that members commit to regular attendance at rehearsals whenever possible. Outside of rehearsals, we encourage members to practice their music to make sure rehearsals are as productive as possible. In addition to rehearsals, we have 1-2 performances per year that we ask all members to participate in. Any additional gigging opportunities are optional and always discussed as a group prior to committing.
